The legally binding agreement between you and LighTL.
By creating an account, accessing, or using LighTL (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LighTL. You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
LighTL is a translation tool, not a hosting or publishing platform.
The Service provides AI-powered translation to English, specifically optimized for long-form fiction. Key characteristics:
We are not a content distribution platform. You are not publishing through us. You are using a professional tool in your private workspace.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication credentials and for any activity that occurs through your account.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately.
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits, abuse promotions, or evade termination.
LighTL operates on a pay-as-you-go credit system. You purchase credits and consume them through use of the Service.
Everything consumes credits:
Credit consumption varies by chapter length, complexity, and other factors related to processing your content.
Credits are non-refundable once consumed. When you translate a chapter, revise a line, or interact with the AI, those credits are gone.
Unused credits remain in your account and never expire.
Credits never expire. Buy $1 worth today, use them in 2030. We don't believe in artificial urgency.
We reserve the right to change credit pricing, volume discount tiers, and consumption rates at any time. Price changes will not affect credits you've already purchased, but consumption rate changes will affect the purchasing power of your existing credits.
Payments are processed through third-party payment processors. You agree to the payment processor's terms of service. We do not store your payment information.
If you dispute a charge or initiate a chargeback, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account and forfeit all remaining credits.
You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to translate the content you upload to the Service.
LighTL is a translation tool. Like a photocopier, we provide the means—you are responsible for ensuring your use is lawful.
We do not verify copyright ownership. You agree to indemnify and hold LighTL harmless from any claims arising from your use of copyrighted material without permission.
You may not upload content that:
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with laws in your jurisdiction. We make no representations about the legality of content in your location.
By uploading content to the Service, you grant LighTL a limited, non-exclusive license to:
This license exists solely to provide the translation service. We do not use your content for any other purpose. We do not train models on your data.
This license terminates when you delete your content, subject to reasonable retention periods for backups and technical operations.
LighTL is a translation tool, not a backup service.
While we store your translations and project data, we make no guarantee of data preservation. We may delete data at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Though we have no current plans to do so, we reserve this right.
You are responsible for exporting and backing up your work. Use the export features regularly. Do not rely on LighTL as your only copy.
If we terminate your account, we may retain your data for a reasonable period for backup and technical purposes, but we have no obligation to do so.
We are not liable for any data loss, regardless of cause. Back up your work.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Downtime happens. Maintenance happens. Outages happen.
AI translations may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inconsistencies. While we optimize for quality, we make no warranty that translations will be error-free, contextually perfect, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Translation quality depends on many factors including source text complexity, context size, and AI model capabilities.
We may release beta or experimental features. These are provided "as is" with no guarantees of functionality or continued availability.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, including:
